Illinois Business Consulting is the nation’s largest fee-based, student-run consulting firm. Housed in Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois, IBC provides students with real-world project opportunities while helping clients solve challenges and identify opportunities. IBC conducts 50 projects each year with companies ranging from Fortune 50 to startup and nonprofit.

History

Founded in 1996 by Dr. Paul Magelli, Illinois Business Consulting has conducted approximately 1500 projects for over 800 clients. Its primary objective is education, enabling students to apply their classroom learning to solving real business issues, while providing value-added solutions to our clients.
