Supply Chain management is one of the most important functions in all manufacturing enterprises. It spans processes such as procurement, purchasing, plant and transportation logistics, demand fulfillment, and promotion management. For most manufacturing, distribution and retail companies, supply chains constitute a significant amount of their annual spending - large corporations may have billions of dollars of annual supply chain related costs. Managing this supply chain effectively is vital to compete in a global and hyper-competitive environment. Accordingly, there is immense interest among corporations to hire well-trained and talented supply chain professionals.

The SCM program in the College of Business has been very successful in training and placing our undergraduate students. The excellent curricular and practical training offered by the SCM program makes our graduates highly desirable to a variety of corporations, business consultancies and government.

Some things to consider:

1. SCM majors are hired by large business consulting firms, major manufacturers and government agencies.
2. SCM majors have an excellent job placement record.
3. SCM majors are, on average, some of the highest paid students in the college of business.

If you are still in the process of deciding what you would like to do for your major, we think that you should look carefully at the Supply Chain Management Major.

Students who like to blend creative and analytical thinking for solving large-scale real-world problems are well suited for the SCM program. You should have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 and must be willing to participate in all program activities, which expose you to the practice of supply chain management. You are also required to complete a summer internship before graduating.

The SCM major is also popular as a or double major option within the department of business administration. Many of our students combine the SCM major with degrees in accounting and finance. Even more combine it with other majors such as International Business, ISIT, Marketing, or Process Management.

• You must be a sophomore to apply to the program. Juniors may apply as well but timely graduation is not guaranteed.
• You do not need to re-apply or do anything further If you applied in Fall and were deferred for admission. We will update your GPA based on last semester's grades internally.
• Students who were denied admission in Fall may reapply but please be aware that we have limited seats and the chances of admission are small.
